Hawk Acquires Modern Media

A Message from David Spriet, President Modern Media

I am very excited to share some news about Modern Media and the future direction of our business. On October 1, 2016 Modern Media was fully acquired by Hawk Marketing. This is an exciting development for our clients, staff and business.

Since opening for business in 2005, Modern Media has worked diligently for our clients many of which have stood as long standing relationships. Over this period, the Modern Media team has collectively built up a proven track record of delivering top notch digital marketing solutions.

Hawk (www.hawk.ca) has long held the position of New Brunswick’s leading full service marketing agency having operated a successful business, producing stable earning year-over-year. Since 2010 Modern Media has worked in partnership with Hawk providing digital services including web development, email marketing, search marketing, digital strategy and more. Together, Hawk with the acquisition of Modern Media now has 30 staff with a diverse portfolio of skills and experience, positioning the new Hawk as one of Atlantic Canada’s leading integrated full and digital service agencies.

Here are some key points to highlight:

  • All current Modern Media staff will remain allowing us to provide the same digital services as we do today, uninterrupted for our valued clients
  • I will also remain and continue to lead the digital team, now joining Hawk as part of their Senior Management team. With Modern Media now fully owned by Hawk, Jamie Davison will leave to pursue other business interests
  • With Hawk our business will gain access to all their strengths allowing us to enhance our service by cross training Hawk staff in digital services, introducing new agency services to our clients, and investing in our digital services / team for the long term
  • The Modern Media name will be maintained through the balance of 2016, such as continuing to appear on invoices and for payments. During this time we will work on transitioning our Modern Media brand assets over to the Hawk brand

With change comes new opportunities, and the team at Modern Media and Hawk are truly excited about the future – stronger together!
